The Closest Airport is Tours Airport where there are regular flights from Stansted using Ryanair. I have used this flight very regularly and it is very efficient. Tours airport is about 28 miles.

Tours also has a TGV service - one hour to Paris and also 1 hour 40 mins from CDG.

There is also a train service running from Saumur which is the main town on the Loire and this is 19 miles away. Saumur is probably the biggest town in the nearby region with 30,000 people.

Le Mans also has TGV which is approx 43 miles from house and the TGV there runs to CDG Airport in one hour 40 mins. I also used this heavily when travelling to Frankfurt for work back in 2017 and again the TGV almost always runs on time. My return journey was to Tours again in the same time one hour 40 mins from CDG.
