The property is located in the Marne department, 15 km from the town of Epernay and its famous Avenue de Champagne, one of the most expensive streets in the world!

The architect Octave Henri Gelin designed this manor house around 1910. He was the architect for the Marne department and its historic monuments. Many of the buildings he designed bear his signature. His style is characterised by floral ornamentation and rounded lines, typical of Art-Nouveau.
The manor house was built at the request of the Grandthille family, famous for their wallpaper manufacture, which won numerous medals, including a gold medal at the Paris Universal Exhibition for a 64-colour ?Verdure et roses trémières' (greenery and hollyhocks) panel.
They lived in the manor until the 1930s, when they sold it to the family of the current owners.

The manor house is divided into two parts, a 385 sqm living area and a 265 sqm area, formerly used by staff, which is no longer fitted out at all.
On the living side, the entrance leads into the ?hunting room', a cosy, wooded room with a large fireplace.
A back door gives access to a shower room with toilet, the kitchen with fireplace and the stairway leading to the upper floors. Off the kitchen are the laundry rooms, the stables and the garage.
